There is no denying that credit cards
have gone beyond their first stated purpose of easing purchases
for consumers and providing customers with a level of credit that
they can use to make purchases without initially spending their
own cash. Credit cards are now also seen as a status symbol that
can show how wealthy or successful you are. Yes, it may not be what
the original purpose is, but public perception has already changed
and it will be hard to correct that image of gold credit cards and
those who possess one.
A gold credit card is considered as a premium type of credit card
that offer features that are exclusively offered to people who have
been able to meet certain criteria like a high income level. There
are certain credit card companies that allow customers to apply
for a gold credit card and approve or reject the application based
on a check on their credit record and the information that they
have provided. There are also some credit card companies that voluntarily
upgrade the credit card of select individuals if their criteria
for gold credit cards are met or as reward for certain milestones.
Some of the features of a gold credit card may include a very high
credit limit, a rewards program for premium items, airline miles,
and special offers and promotions, as well as other exclusive services
that are only offered to gold credit card holders. |
